Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information ThinkWay ("we", "us") collects through thinkwayluggage.com, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can. The site has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies, and it loads nothing from third-party servers.

What we collect and why
When you visit the site
Like every web server, ours records each request: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working, and they are deleted automatically after 14 days.
When you leave your email
If you sign up to hear about the launch, we keep your email address, the time and the place on the site where you signed up. We use it to send a short welcome note, one email when the Kickstarter campaign opens and one when ThinkWay ships. We do not send anything else and we never sell or rent the list. The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or writing to us, and we will delete your address from the list. Otherwise we keep it until you ask us to delete it.
When you use the ThinkWay Concierge
The Concierge is an AI assistant that answers questions about ThinkWay. When you use it we store what you write and what it answers, the page and language you were using, your browser type, a random conversation number, any feedback you give on an answer, and a scrambled form of your IP address that cannot be turned back into the address (used to stop abuse). Your messages are sent to Google's Gemini service, which generates the replies for us. We read conversations to improve the answers and the information the assistant uses. Conversations are deleted automatically 12 months after the last message. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your questions and running the service.
When you email us
Email to hello@thinkwayluggage.com is handled in Microsoft 365. To answer common product questions quickly, an AI assistant may read incoming email and draft or send a reply; that reply says it was written by AI, and anything that needs a person is passed to our team. For this, the email text is sent to Google's Gemini service, and we keep a record of the sender, the subject, how the email was handled and the reply for 12 months. Correspondence itself is kept in our mailbox for as long as we need it to deal with your request.
Cookies and storage on your device
We do not use cookies. The site keeps a few small items in your browser's own storage so that it works the way you expect: the language you chose, whether the opening animation has already played, and, if you use the Concierge, your conversation, its number and whether you have already left your email (so you are not asked twice). These items stay on your device, are not used to track you, and you can remove them at any time by clearing your browser data or starting a new chat. Because they are strictly necessary for features you ask for, we do not show a consent banner.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the purpose above and under their data processing terms:
- Vultr (The Constant Company), which hosts our server in Singapore;
- Google, whose Gemini service generates the assistant's answers;
- Microsoft, which runs our email.
If you back ThinkWay on Kickstarter, Kickstarter handles your pledge and payment under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
International transfers
Our server is in Singapore, and our providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the safeguards in our providers' data processing terms, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@thinkwayluggage.com and we will reply within one month. If you are in the EU or UK and are not satisfied, you can complain to your local data protection authority. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we do not use it to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us their details, let us know and we will delete them.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection, access to our systems is limited to the people who need it, and we keep only what is described above.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we will tell you before it applies.
