Battery & flying
Can I fly with ThinkWay?
Yes. The battery is 18.5 Wh and removable. Take it out before you check the bag and keep it with you in the cabin. Rules differ by airline and country, so check yours before you travel.
Can the battery charge my phone?
No. It powers the compression system only and is not a power bank.
How do I charge it?
Over USB-C at 5 V 2 A, either on the case or detached. The indicator shows blue above 70%, orange between 30 and 70%, red between 10 and 30%. Below 10% it stops to protect itself.
Compression
How much more fits?
Soft clothes take up to 40–50% less room after compression. Equivalent capacity is about 65 L for the 20-inch and about 100 L for the 24-inch. The packing tests on the product page show real trips and the conditions.
Will my clothes get creased?
The system is designed for soft garments. Fold as you normally would. Heavy creasing comes from how things are folded, not from the compression itself.
How loud is it?
Noticeable but brief: under a minute, and it stops by itself. A measured figure will be published with the production unit.
Can I stop it early?
Yes. Press the button again.
What should not go in the compression bag?
Rigid or fragile items, liquids and anything with sharp edges. Those go in the regular side.
Durability & seal
Does it leak air over time?
A straight-line sealing zipper, a one-way TPU valve and an IPX7-rated airtight zipper keep the seal. The inner zipper is tested to 5,000 open-close cycles.
Can it start by accident in transit?
No. It sleeps automatically, and there is a physical power switch on the panel.
What about lint?
A filter chamber sits in front of the motor. Open it and clean it now and then.
Sizes & packing
Which size should I choose?
20-inch for 1 to 8 days, 24-inch for 6 to 15 days. Exact dimensions, including wheels, are on the product page. Check your airline's limits before flying with the 20-inch.
How do the two compartments work?
The compression bag takes soft clothes and uses about 70% of the depth. The regular side takes shoes, toiletries and electronics.
